- MM completed her MBBS course in Rangaraya Medical College, Kakinada with commendable academic honours.
- Adjudged the Best Outgoing Student of RMC in the year 1983-84
- Secured all time highest marks in MBBS
- Her record tally of Gold Medals during MBBS is unsurpassed and serves as a landmark in the history of RMC
- Proud recipient of the prestigious President of India Medal from Andhra University for her outstanding performance in MBBS
- She stood second in Zone in her MD Entrance examination and completed her Master’s degree in pediatrics in Guntur Medical College in the year 1991.
- Her enthusiasm, urge and passion for learning more of the subject she loved is never seen to fade or diminish. It’s quite rare happening that a successful private medical practitioner going on a sabbatical after 20 years of practice to further decorate her academic cap!
- She worked in Royal Preston Hospital for Children, UK under observer status to learn the nuances and methods of the Western specialists and went on to complete MRCP CH in the year 2012, a much coveted accomplishment and dream of many in the profession.
- In the same run, she went on to have another prestigious Indian degree and became a Diplomate in National Board (DNB) in pediatrics.
- Her thirst for acquiring knowledge in her field seemed to have not quenched yet. She decided to plunge deeper into neonatology and took her second sabbatical from her hospital to adorn herself with another academic qualification, Fellowship in Neonatology in the year 2022.
- Academic excellence apart, she is a Kuchipudi dancer and gave more than 100 performances.
- She gives free consultation in her hospital to the needy patients everyday for two hours.
She along with her family runs an institution, named Vidyardhi that adopts poor children from rural areas and provides shelter, food and holistic education totally free.
